The Cayman Islands

The Cayman Islands are located in the Caribbean sea. Some countries that boarder the Cayman  islands are Jamaica and Cuba.  The density of the Cayman Islands is 199.1 / km squared. The Cayman Islands consist of three main islands known as Grand Cayman, Little Cayman and Cayman Brac. The largest and most popular island for tourists is Grand Cayman. There is one small airport on each island.

  • The currency used in the Cayman Islands is the Cayman Island Dollar.
  • The main language spoken on the islands is English.
  • The capital is George Town.
  • The population is only around 52,560
  • The most famous beach in the Cayman Islands is the seven mile beach located in Grand Cayman.
  • There are many fantastic places to visit in the Cayman islands which include going to Stingray City, snorkelling and scuba diving, the crystal caves, Rum Point and many water sport's.
  • The main animals native to the Cayman Islands include, sea turtles, stingrays and also many different kinds of tropical fish.
  • The most popular food eaten in the Cayman Islands are fish, turtle and goat along with different vegetables.
  • There is also the typical McDonalds and Wendys fast food seen aswell on the islands along with many lovely and tasty restaurants.

29th January 2018 Santorini Santorini is one of the Cyclades islands in the Aegean sea. The island of Santorini was ruined due to a volcanic eruption in around the 16th century BC. This volcanic eruption has now given the shape to the island of a rugged landscape. Facts about Santorini: Before the name Santorini was given to the Greek island it was known as Kallístē which means "the most beautiful one." Santorini is one of the only islands in the world where you can visit red, white and black sand beaches. Theses different coloured beaches are due to the volcanic eruption in the 16th century.
